- Saba is a small, steep island with narrow roads and limited transport. Taxis and local buses are the main options; rental cars are generally not available.
- Air access is through Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport, known for its very short runway. Ferries from Sint Maarten are weather-dependent, so allow flexibility for connections.

## Safety and health

- An island-wide power outage on October 6, 2026, lasted more than four hours before electricity was restored.
