## Brief

- Funafuti has very limited tourism infrastructure. Accommodation, flights, and supplies can be scarce, so book well ahead and carry contingency funds and essential personal items.
- Air services are infrequent and the single runway also serves as a community space between flights. Follow local instructions and clear the runway promptly when aircraft are approaching.
- Try local foods such as fresh lagoon fish, coconut, taro and pulaka, along with island-style dishes prepared for community gatherings.
